FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE NEW SYSTEM:

1. What happens if I return AFTER the three hour no return period has passed?

After the three hours, no return period is over, you will start another paid session based on the pricing structure in place. If you are a paying customer returning for a second paid activity you will need to re-register your vehicle and will receive free parking.

2. Why have you introduced a parking payment system?

The JustPark system is used nationwide and therefore is a familiar app for a number of drivers as well as user friendly. Parking charges will not apply to paying customers of the Golf Course, Driving Range and Bar who register their car details. Where non-customers wish to park in the centre car park, for example, during events taking place in the wider park or if they are attending other competitions – it is hoped that the new system will encourage car sharing and help ease the pressure on limited parking spaces during these very busy periods.

3. Do the charges only apply during working hours?

No – the charges apply over 24 hours. However the maximum charge is £12 for anything between 6 and 24 hours.

4. What about weekends?

The charges apply throughout weekends and bank holidays.

5. Can I register my vehicle to stay onsite over 24 hours?

No – If you decide to pay for up to 24 hours of parking the three-hour no return period will then apply.

6. How is payment made?

Payments can be made either through the JustPark app or by calling the JustPark telephone number displayed on the signs 07520634455.

7. When do I need to pay for parking?

Payment must be made prior to leaving site.

8. What about dropping off within the 3-hour no return period?

Within this three-hour no return period you may re-enter the car park once to drop off or collect without charge – subject to a MAXIMUM waiting time of 10 minutes.  If you stay over 10 minutes you will incur charges as above.

9. What if I want to come and go during the day with unlimited restrictions?

If you are unable to stick within the conditions of paying for the number of hours required and the subsequent 3-hour no return (except for a 10-minute maximum drop off or collection) then you can pay the £12 charge for 24 hours. Please note, if you leave the car park, we cannot guarantee you a space on your return.

10. What happens if I leave the car park without paying?

Unfortunately you will incur a Parking Charge Notice of £100 payable directly to Civil Enforcement – not Active Luton.

11. If I get a Parking Charge Notice how can I appeal?

The system is administered by Civil Enforcement Limited – who will also retain any income from Parking Charges.

An appeal can be made in writing to:

Civil Enforcement Limited

Horton House

Exchange Flag

Liverpool L2 3PF

Via the website: www.ce-service.co.uk

Or by telephone on: 0115 822 5027

12. Where does the income from parking go?

This system has been designed to ensure that paying customers can still enjoy free parking while they utilise our facilities. Any income from other users of the car park will go to Active Luton and will be invested back into the centre.
